Mrs. Pierrefine D. Castor was born in Haiti and migrated to France at the age of 22. She lived there for ten years before settling in the US with her husband and children.  Mrs. Pierrefine D. Castor is a mother of four young men who has grown to be very successful in their rights, while my firstborn can be described as private, the second one is very direct and transparent. My third born is the most obedient with the last one bearing a strict personality compares to his other brothers. It is through raising them that I learn how to effectively deal with diverse personalities and not to forget that of my husband.  Over the years, I grew to be patient, tolerant, and understanding.  It is with this mindset that I learn to appreciate and embrace the definition of “Community”. I grew to appreciate diversity and cultural differences.  After all, we are one.  My passion and my firm belief that family who shares meals stays together and grew closer, inspired me to become a chef at the French Culinary Institute.  For, being a chef and a certified caterer is one of the ways to share joy with others.  I also found great pleasure in teaching others how to cook using the appropriate techniques while promoting good health as well.  This satisfaction eventually inspires me to start this non-profit organization, known as the “New Jersey Community Integration Services (NJCIS). 

Together with the NJCIS’s dedicated board members and community support, my life mission to give back to the community will expand.  My community service extends beyond NJCIS, I also host two radio talk shows at Radio Olivier: The first one is “Integration”, an initiative to eliminate the myths of life and to promote best practices and facts.  The second one “Ann Nou Pale” in collaboration with Ms. Darline Dieudonne.  “Ann Nou Pale” is another community-based program that focuses on social, cultural, political and any other high-profile issues impacting the Health and Safety of our community.  It is an honor to serve as NJCIS president and to make a difference in people’s lives.
